Indian & South Asian Wedding Planner in Italy
Luxury Indian and South Asian destination weddings across Tuscany, Lake Como, the Amalfi Coast and Puglia, planned with cultural depth, precision, and genuine care for every ritual.
An Indian wedding is not a single day; it's a journey. The Mehndi and Haldi, the Sangeet, the ceremony itself, the reception: each has its own energy, its own guests, its own meaning.
Staging that across Italy's most beautiful private villas and estates takes a planner who understands both the traditions and the logistics behind them. That's what I do.
I plan Indian, South Asian, multicultural and fusion weddings for international couples marrying in Italy, whether that's a multi-day Hindu celebration in the Tuscan hills or an intimate ceremony blending two cultures on a lakeside terrace.

THE CELEBRATION I PLAN
Every celebration is different, but most span several days and several events. I plan them end to end, so each event and ritual has the setting and the space it deserves.
A welcome party the night before: many of my couples open with a relaxed Italian welcome the evening before the festivities begin, often an authentic wood-fired pizza party under the stars. It's the warmest way to bring far-flung guests together before the rituals start, and it's become a signature of the weddings I plan.
Mehndi & Haldi: the intimate pre-wedding ceremonies, set against Italian gardens, courtyards and villa terraces.
Sangeet: a night of music, dance and performances, staged and lit for the celebration it's meant to be.
Baraat: the groom's procession, coordinated with the venue, the music, and any local permits it needs.
The wedding ceremony: Hindu, Sikh, or symbolic, with the right officiant or priest, the mandap and décor, and where it matters, the ceremony timed to an auspicious muhurat.
The reception: where your two worlds meet, whether that's a traditional Indian dinner, an Italian menu, or a fusion of both.
The Ceremonies & Rituals I Plan
Vara Agamana
Welcoming the groom: the groom and his family arrive and are greeted by the bride's family.
Ganesh Pooja and Gowri Pooja
The first pooja: the couple ask Goddess Parvati to grant their wishes and Lord Ganesha to remove obstacles on the path to marriage.
Kanya Aagamanam
The bride's arrival: the bride arrives with her family, kept from the groom's view behind a screen.
Kanyadaanam
Giving away the bride: the bride's parents give their blessing by placing her right hand into the groom's.
Jeelakarra Bellam
The moment of marriage: the couple place a paste of cumin, which is bitter, and jaggery, which is sweet, on each other's heads, a promise to stay together through bitter and sweet times.
Sumangali
Sumangali: the bride returns in a white sari, escorted by her married aunts, who bring sacred offerings of rice, flowers, honey and ghee.
Mangalya Dharanam
Tying the sacred thread: the groom ties the Mangalsutra around the bride's neck, the physical symbol of their union.
Exchange of garlands
The couple adorn each other with flower garlands to acknowledge their acceptance of one another.
Vungarala Sambaram
The ring game: a playful competition to see who captures the ring in the water basin.
Mettelu
The bride places her foot on a stone, a symbol of her strength through good times and bad, and receives her toe rings.
Sapthapadi
The couple take seven steps around the sacred fire, one for each vow, from caring for each other's needs to living in harmony with nature.
Akshantalu
The couple are showered with rice, a blessing for their new life together.
